Best of 2015
Above is my spreadsheet for 2015. Before I get to the list of my best books of 2015 lets go through some stats.
In total I have read 45 books which is perfectly acceptable. I had a slow beginning of the year where reading went slowly for me and I couldn´t really get in the mood. For example I didn´t read any books in febuary! But around springtime I got back into the swing of things are was able to catch up. There were 3 months in which I was especially prolific and read a total of 7 books those months (july, august and november).
Out of these 45 books there are 42 different authors. The three authors I´ve read several times (twice in all instances) are Siri Pettersen, Louise O´Neill and Sarah Maclean. The vast majority of authors I´ve read are from the U.S (32). 37 of the authors were women, only 11 of them were people of color and 26 were young adult novels. There was only one book that I started and didn´t finish and that was Anthony Doerr´s All the light we cannot see (I seem to be the only one who´s read it who hasn´t loved it).
For next year wish to improve the number of poc:s I read and also reading from parts of the world. I will also be participating in BookRiots 2016 read harder challenge
And now, in no particular order, the best books I read during 2015. I have included books read not published in 2015.
